There have been allegations of different rules being adopted in the counseling process being conducted for 12,460 teacher recruitment candidates in the state. Angered by the arbitrariness, the candidates reached the Directorate of Basic Education on Thursday. He met Director General Kanchan Verma and Basic Education Council Secretary Pratap Singh Baghel and demanded to fill the vacant posts according to the same rules.
Candidates told that on the instructions of the court, the department has started the selection process for the vacant posts. The final selection list was to be prepared and uploaded at the district level by 27th December. But this process continued on 28 December also. Records verification is to be held on 29th December. The situation is such that some BSAs have called all the candidates for counselling, while some have called less candidates than the seats.
The candidates drew the attention of the Director General towards these discrepancies. The Director General said that counseling will be conducted according to the same rules everywhere. Recently a meeting was also held with all the BSAs. In this, candidates will be selected relative to the post.
Candidates said that the Director General has assured that if the seats are not filled then other concerned candidates will also be given a chance. It is noteworthy that the candidates found eligible after records verification will be issued appointment letters on December 30.
